The common home of creative and passionate craftsmen
THE VIRTUAL SHOWCASE OF LA CASA DI PALU '
Behind La Casa di PaLù there are me, Ludovica, and my husband Paolo. We are artisans and we make jewels using various materials and various techniques. Having a past as a restorer of paintings, I prefer hand-cut wooden bases, on which I paint and personalize the subjects. I also love the decoupage technique combined with precious resins, which allow me to play with
particular color combinations.
I love making earrings, hypoallergenic and that do not oxidize, which I make with different materials. I use recycled paper, or more precious paper, such as Florentine paper, using a base of mother-of-pearl or wood, which then resin, to make them waterproof. images of places or symbols of Naples, my city, with subjects linked to the Neapolitan tradition such as pulcinella, bingo numbers ... Unique pieces, which can also be customized on site, when we participate in fairs and craft markets.
During the Christmas period, we also like to dedicate ourselves to a series of decorations and small Christmas-themed objects, as well as we like to create hand-painted wooden creations, with a superstitious theme, or dedicate ourselves to creating small Christmas trees, with recovered wood from the Partenio mountains.
Participating in artisan-themed events and exhibiting our creations is for us an important moment in our activity. It gives us the joy of meeting the smiles of people who, by showing their interest, gratify us for the work behind our creations, and allow us to compare ourselves with other artisan realities, which always represents a moment of growth.
