Welcome to the virtual showcase of Le Ceramiche di GalaMizio, born from the fusion of my surname and name...Galario Maurizio.
I have had a passion for all that is art since I was a child, when I "traded" with Das and plasticine and filled entire sketchbooks with portraits of animals (another passion of mine ) and landscapes.
I don't remember how it was because, about 20 years ago, I met two very nice and talented ladies who had a ceramic workshop in the heart of my splendid Naples and since then it was love at first sight ... Attended various courses from decoration to turning... until the shy little bird (it would be me) decided to fly with his wings, buying a professional oven... The rest is history... and here I am.
Currently i am a hobbyist ceramist but I am trying to make this passion my main profession.
I like to experiment with various techniques, from the colombino to the electric lathe, from the hand decoration to the cuerda seca technique ... Lately I like 'playing ' with colored glazes and their unique combinations on each piece, making "Neapolitan articles" with hot colors. I also make themed objects (balls and trees at Christmas, eggs and bells at Easter, all decorated by hand). I am also available for wedding favors for various occasions and personalized items.
